Lianjiangkou town is located in the south of Yingde City, Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province. It is the South Gate of Yingde City. It is 25 kilometers away from the urban area and 115 kilometers away from Guangzhou. It is located at the intersection of Beijiang and lianjiang. It is adjacent to xiatai town in the East, Lixi town in the south, Shuibian town and Xiniu town in the west, Yingcheng street, Dazhan town and shihuipu town in the north. Lianjiangkou town is the center town of Guangdong Province, a strong education town in Guangdong Province, and a livable town in Guangdong Province. The total population of Lianjiangkou town is 36765 people (in 2017), and the land area is 380.4 square kilometers (in 2017). The town has 9 villages, 2 communities and 274 Village groups.

Historical evolution
Lianjiangkou was established in 1369, the second year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty. Because the site of the polder is at the confluence of Beijiang River and Lianjiang River, it is also called Chetou.
In the 44th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1705), it was set up to be huaihou, the capital of Huaiyi.
Qing Daoguang 16 years (1836) set up the size of Zhangxiang.
In 1932, Lianjiang Town, Xiaozhang Township and huaihou Township were established.
In 1936, Lianzhang Township and huaihou Township were established.
Lianzhang township was set up in 1940.
In 1945, Lianzhang Township and shangxiaxiang were merged and called Lianzhang township. Today, huaihou Township and Lianxiang are set up in Lianjiangkou and Xiazhi.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, Yingdong, Yingxi and Yingzhong were set up in the county, and the old system was still used in the township. Huaihou Township and Lianxiang township are under the jurisdiction of Yingzhong district.
In November 1957, Lianjiang township was renamed lianjiang township.
In April 1958, Lianjiang Township and huaihou Township were merged and renamed lianjiang township.
In September 1958, six people's communes were set up in the county. Lianjiang, Lixi, Shuibian, Dadong and other places belong to Yuejin people's commune.
In April 1959, the county was divided into 14 people's communes, whose names were named after local names, and Lianjiangkou people's commune was established.

Feilaixia reservoir bay has beautiful scenery. Together with Zhenyang gorge, it forms the original ecological corridor of Beijiang River Basin. Zhenyang gorge in Zhenyang gorge cultural tourism area, also known as blind gorge because of its magical color, is a narrow section of Beijiang River from bolokeng to Lianjiangkou. It starts from Xiazhang village of Yingcheng street in the north and ends at jiangkouzui of Lianjiangkou town in the south, with a total length of about 10 km. On the first and the fifteenth day of the lunar new year, people pay homage to it, and the incense is strong. The God of the temple is the empress Cao, who is known as the goddess of Beijiang.
