Chama town is a town under the jurisdiction of Qinglong County, Qianxinan Prefecture, Guizhou Province. On January 29, 2016, the people's Government of Guizhou Province approved the abolition of Machang Township and Datian Township and the establishment of Chama town.

Evolution of organizational system

On January 29, 2016, the people's Government of Guizhou Province (QFH [2016] No. 49) approved the abolition of the organizational system of Machang Township and Datian Township and the establishment of Chama town. The newly established Chama town governs the administrative region of the former Machang Township and datu village, Datian village, Bingwu village and Dongqing village of the former Datian township. The original Xinzhai village and ethnic village of Datian Township were put under the jurisdiction of Huagong town.
