Zhangbei Street

Zhangbei street is located in the northeast of Beiguan District, Anyang City, Henan Province, along the Beijing Zhuhai Expressway and Anchu highway. It is adjacent to the administrative East District of the municipal government in the South and runs through the Northeast outer ring highway. It has jurisdiction over 17 administrative villages, including nanzhangjian and Xinghua village. It has a population of 28363 (in 2010) and a cultivated land area of 16000 mu, with obvious location advantages and developed transportation.

It has four distinct seasons, fertile land and rich agricultural products. As the agricultural population accounts for the vast majority, in order to speed up the pace of people's poverty alleviation and prosperity, the office takes administrative measures to vigorously promote the adjustment of agricultural industrial structure, give full play to the advantages of suburbs, actively promote vegetable cultivation, and create a green and pollution-free brand. In 2004, it was rated as a vegetable characteristic town by Anyang municipal Party committee and municipal government, and Lijiazhuang and liusi were named as provincial pollution-free towns by Henan Province Vegetable production base. Lijiazhuang village is famous for its high-grade vegetables in Anyang City. Liusi village is well-known for its large-scale production of strawberries, garlic seedlings and spring corn. Liusi garlic seedlings are sold to Handan, Xingtai, Shijiazhuang and other places in Hebei Province, and spring corn is sold well in various tourist attractions in surrounding areas. Zhangbei sub district office of Beiguan District of Anyang City gives full play to the geographical advantages adjacent to the urban area and vigorously develops animal husbandry. It has formed an animal husbandry production base dominated by layer breeding and supplemented by cow and pig breeding. It has become a non-staple food supply base of Anyang City and has made contributions to enriching the city's vegetable basket project.
