The construction of Langxi Economic Development Zone started in 2005. In September of the same year, it was established with the approval of the municipal government. In December, the Party Working Committee and Management Committee of the development zone were formally established. In August 2006, the provincial government approved the construction of Langxi Economic Development Zone in Anhui Province. The development zone is oriented to become an advanced manufacturing base in Southeast Anhui and an industrial new town in the north of the county. It is divided into East and west areas with Langli highway as the main axis. The overall planning is 22.44 square kilometers.

It is divided into East and west areas with Langli highway as the main axis. The overall planning is 22.44 square kilometers. Langxi economic development zone is located in the border of Jiangsu and Anhui Province, 5 kilometers north of the county seat. It has unique location and transportation advantages to undertake the industrial capital transfer of the Yangtze River Delta. It is rich in land resources and sufficient supply of water, electricity and other resources, so that the Development Zone has a good advantage and development space.

Park layout

Langxi Economic Development Zone has initially formed a "one zone and many parks" development pattern, such as luggage industry cluster, laid-off and unemployed Pioneer Park, private economy Pioneer Park, Jincheng science and Technology Pioneer Park, Wuxi Industrial Park (special equipment manufacturing and supporting processing base), and Taiwan Industrial Park.
