Characteristic agriculture
Zhaokang town develops characteristic agriculture according to local conditions and strives to open up a new path to increase farmers' income. Since 2000, Zhaokang town has conscientiously implemented the agricultural production adjustment strategy of the county Party committee and the county government, guided by the situation, and successfully walked out a new path of characteristic agricultural development in line with the actual situation of the town. After the introduction of "three cherry peppers" into Zhaokang in 1996, the Party committee and government of Zhaokang Town, after many investigations and argumentation, thought that it was a very suitable and promising industry for local development. In 2003 and 2006, sanyingjiao Association and sanyingjiao cooperative were established to provide technology, materials and information services for pepper farmers before, during and after production. With Zhaoxiong, Nanzhao and Zhaokang as the center, the three cherry pepper planting base has basically formed, driving the planting area of the whole town to reach 35000 Mu and radiating the surrounding towns, counties and cities to more than 100000 mu. The cooperative organization launched a series of pepper products such as "jinxianghong" and passed the brand registration. The product sales momentum is good, forming an industrial pattern of farmers + base + cooperatives. Three cherry pepper has become the leading industry for local farmers to increase income and become rich. Zhaokang town has become the first pepper town in North China and the largest pepper distribution center in North China.
