Chengnan is a seven character poem written by Kong pingzhong, a poet of Song Dynasty.

It's still cold in March in Mizhou, and even on the sea. Yesterday the rain stopped and the air was clear. Today it's cloudy and the north wind is strong. In the south of the city, the river flows by the city, and a few poplars are boats. it is said that there are no chariots and horses, and the apricots and peaches are thick.
About the author
Kong pingzhong, born in 1044 of the fourth year of Qingli period, is a native of Xijiang village, Luotian Town, Xiajiang county. His brothers are Kong Wenzhong and Kong Wuzhong. Zhiping two years (1065) Jinshi, initially awarded Fenning (now Jiangxi Xiushui) County principal book. After the third year of Xining (1070), he successively served as a professor of Mizhou (now Mi County, Henan Province), a secretary of the province, a military officer of Quzhou, a secretary of the province, a writer of the province, and a knight of Qianzhou (now Ganzhou). In the second year of Yuanyou (1087), LV Gong, the Minister of the Ministry of household affairs, recommended him to be promoted to doctor Taichang. Later, he successively served as the school manager of taipucheng and the criminal prison of southwest Beijing Road in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. In April of the sixth year of Yuanyou's reign, he served as a secretary, school manager and court doctor. In the first year of Shaosheng (1086), when Yanguan impeached him, Yuanyou was associated with those in power of the old party, so he was removed from office and came to Hengzhou (now Hengyang, Hunan). He was impeached for not carrying out the changcang law and was transferred to Shaozhou (now Shaoguan, Guangdong). Because he wrote a letter to explain, he was demoted to Huizhou (now Huiyang, Guangdong) and placed in Yingzhou (now Yingde, Guangdong). Huizong ascended the throne in July of the third year of Yuanfu (1100), and was granted the title of imperial doctor. In November of the first year of Chongning (1102), he was appointed as the doctor of the Ministry of household, and later changed to the doctor of the Ministry of money. He promoted Yongxing Road (now Chang'an, Shaanxi), shuaiyan Road (now Fuxian, Shaanxi), Huanqing Road (now Yan'an, Shaanxi), etc. In the first year of Daguan (1107), danglun reappeared and was dismissed. Later, he was in charge of Yanzhou jingling Palace (now North of Jiuxian village, Qufu County, Shandong Province). In the first year of Zhenghe (1111), he fell ill and died at the age of 68. Among the 40 volumes of Qingjiang three Confucius collection, pingzhong has 21 volumes.
