Hongqi community, Meilu street, Wuchuan City, Guangdong Province, was founded in 1964. It covers an area of about 1 square kilometer and has a total population of 7800. It has 6 resident groups and 24 party members.

The community is located on the Bank of Jianjiang River. Jiangxindao bridge connects the beautiful cultural island with the old city. Hongqi community is located in the old urban area of Meilu, where streets and alleys crisscross and densely populated. In 2004, Tongde road was demolished and rebuilt. At present, a new Tongde town integrating commerce and residence has been built, which brings a new look to the district. The commercial and residential buildings in Tongde city and the beautiful island in the middle of the river are facing each other across the river, reflecting each other and becoming two bright pearls along the Jianjiang River. Entering Hongqi community, you can not only experience the new life of modern city, but also appreciate the charm of the ancient block with unique local characteristics. There is a Christian church with a long history, Wuchuan cultural relics protection unit "South Road special committee of Guangdong provincial Party branch of Chinese Kuomintang, South Road Office of Guangdong Provincial farmers' Association" and "revolution site of Meizhou National Technology Museum". Xin'an Road is famous for its special local food "Shuiai" and "jiandui".
