Wanbo Vocational College of science and technology is the first batch of private colleges in Anhui Province to recruit students nationwide, which was approved by the people's Government of Anhui Province and the Ministry of education in June 2000. The college is located in the center of Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province, with convenient transportation and beautiful environment. The college has four branches of economics and management, science and engineering, humanities, art and design, 44 national plans to recruit majors, and has provincial excellent courses such as enterprise brand and image design, visual basic program design, etc. In December 2005, it became the first one in Anhui Province to pass the "evaluation of talent training level in Higher Vocational Colleges" and obtain "excellent" results. In December 2012, it was approved to become one of the Pilot Universities in Anhui Province.

For more than ten years since its establishment, in line with the motto of "unite as one, learn from others", the college has always paid attention to connotation construction, laid a solid foundation, paid attention to team construction, and worked hard for governance. Professor Yin Hongjun, the first president of the college, once served as the first vice president of University of science and technology of China and vice chairman of Anhui Association for science and technology, and has rich management experience in famous universities in China. He is currently a research fellow of President Jiang Shu. He once served as Deputy Secretary of the Party committee of Hefei University of Technology (department level) and vice president of Anhui women intellectuals Association. He also has nearly 40 years of management experience in famous universities in China. The college brings together a group of senior professors from the University of science and technology of China, Hefei University of technology, Anhui University, Hefei Branch of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the international teaching staff of Singapore Raffles education group, forming a teaching and management team with young and middle-aged as the backbone, forming a complete and international teaching quality management system, and constantly adhering to education and management science Standardization, standardization and institutionalization. The college attaches great importance to the construction of teaching staff, and attaches great importance to the investment of equipment, books, campus environment and other hardware facilities.
