Leshan vocational and technical college, approved by Sichuan Provincial People's Government in 2002, is a comprehensive full-time general college including medicine and health, finance and tourism, machinery and electronics, which was established by the merger of the original Leshan Industrial school, Leshan health school and Leshan finance and trade school. It is a national skilled talents training base College of the Ministry of education. It is the "national vocational skill appraisal institute" and "Sichuan Vocational Skill Appraisal intelligent examination station". The college offers three-year, five-year higher vocational college and three-year secondary school education. Since its establishment, the college has been persisting in quality oriented survival, reform oriented development, adapting to the needs of social and economic development, and cultivating highly skilled talents for the society. It has continuously deepened education and teaching reform, paid close attention to teaching management, made great efforts to improve teaching quality, and adhered to the road of connotative development. According to the rules and characteristics of Vocational and technical education, it actively changes the idea of running a school, explores the teaching mode of higher vocational education, takes a solid step on the road of higher vocational education, and makes a positive contribution to Leshan's economic construction and personnel training. The college covers an area of 348 mu, with a building area of 126048 square meters. There are 355 full-time teachers, including 74 professors and associate professors and 183 lecturers. 20 foreign teachers are employed throughout the year. There are more than 8700 students from 17 provinces, cities and autonomous regions in China. The college has advanced teaching equipment and corresponding experimental, internship, training places and training bases. The college library has a collection of more than 260000 books. There are 30 subject laboratories, 1 multimedia distance teaching room (710 seats), 4 voice rooms (112 seats), 1 electronic reading room, 3 standard sports grounds, 5 indoor gymnasiums, 1 standard swimming pool and campus network. There are 765 computers for teaching, and more than 1000 computers are connected to the Internet. The college has 4 departments and 1 Department (public curriculum department, nursing department, mechanical and electrical engineering department, economic management department and Tourism Department), 2 non affiliated hospitals and 1 internship factory. For a long time, we have established a joint school running relationship with Sichuan University, Southwest Jiaotong University, Southwest University of Finance and economics, Luzhou Medical College, Xihua University, Sichuan College of economics and management, creating favorable conditions for students to continue to study. We have established a long-term cooperative relationship with more than 1000 well-known enterprises and institutions in China, and established a long-term cooperative relationship with overseas nurses in the United States, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and other countries and regions, providing a broad employment channel for graduates.
