Xi'an University of Finance and Economics

Xi'an University of Finance and economics is a multi-disciplinary University jointly built by the central and local governments and supervised by Shaanxi Province. It is mainly composed of economics and management disciplines, with mutual support and coordinated development of economics, management, arts, law, science and engineering.

The school is located in the ancient capital Xi'an, adjacent to the famous great wild goose pagoda in the prosperous Tang Dynasty and the magnificent and elegant Shaanxi History Museum. The college covers an area of 1579 mu, with a building area of 524500 square meters, a collection of 1.51 million books, 1634 Chinese and foreign periodicals, and a total value of 66.29 million yuan of teaching equipment.

The school has seven secondary colleges of economics, management, accounting, statistics, information, grammar, politics and administration, and three teaching departments of postgraduate, public foreign language and physical education. It has the right to confer master's degree in statistics, business management, finance, industrial economics and economic law. At present, there are 24 undergraduate majors in economics, finance and statistics, involving 14 first-class disciplines. There are four provincial and ministerial key disciplines in statistics, management science and engineering, finance and economic law, and three provincial famous majors in statistics, finance and law. At present, there are 14353 full-time undergraduate students.

The school has a reasonable structure of teachers. At present, there are 860 full-time teachers, including 329 with the title of associate professor or above. Nearly 100 foreign experts and domestic famous statisticians, economists and humanists have been employed as part-time professors. It has five provincial and ministerial level scientific research bases, including Xi'an Institute of statistics, Shaanxi Provincial statistical research center, Shaanxi modern enterprise management research center, Shaanxi national defense science and technology and economic development research center, Shaanxi United Front Theory and Practice Research Center, and three research centers, including western rural public economy research center, resource environment and Industrial Development Research Center, and cultural resources and Industry Research Center There are three university level scientific research bases. It has 22 laboratories (training centers) and 102 practice teaching bases inside and outside the University, including finance and securities investment training center, finance and taxation information management training center, enterprise planning and design training center, ERP training center, University Physics Laboratory, etc., which are jointly funded by the central government and Shaanxi Province.

The University attaches great importance to scientific research work, the level of scientific research has been significantly improved, and has achieved fruitful scientific research results. From 2002 to 2006, our university successively published 6885 papers in domestic and foreign academic journals, including 1625 papers in core journals, 50 papers in authoritative journals and EI, SCI and ISTP; published 133 monographs and textbooks, and undertook 17 national scientific research projects, including 1 national major project and 211 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, 33 of which won provincial and ministerial scientific research achievement awards. The academic journals "Journal of Xi'an University of Finance and economics" and "statistics and Information Forum" sponsored by the university are open to the public at home and abroad, and have been rated as National Excellent Journals for many times.

The University adheres to the principle of open education and widely carries out international exchanges and cooperation. We have established exchanges and cooperation with 35 institutions of higher learning and research institutes in Belgium, the United Kingdom, the United States, Russia, Canada, France, Germany, Australia and other countries and regions. It has established cooperative school running relations with Antwerp University in Belgium, Bradford University in the UK, gramorgan University in the United States, Cook University in the United States, Thomas University and other foreign universities. We have completed international cooperation research projects such as the development cooperation project funded by the Belgian Flemish government, the UN P-44 project, and the impact of EU investment in China on the reform of China's state-owned enterprises.

In the course of running a school for more than 50 years, the university has trained tens of thousands of economic management talents for China's economic construction and social development, accumulated rich high-quality education resources, formed its own school running characteristics, and laid a solid foundation for the construction of a distinctive teaching and Research-oriented University of Finance and economics.
