A brief introduction to the Folktales of Kazuo East Mongolia
Declaration area or unit: Kalaqin left wing Mongolian Autonomous County, Liaoning Province
The Mongols in Kalaqin and other parts of eastern Mongolia settled down early and turned from nomadic to farming. In the long and tortuous historical process from hunting to herding and from herding to farming, the folk literature created by the people here is unique compared with the Mongolian folk literature in other areas, reflecting the distinctive characteristics of the integration of grassland culture and farming culture.
The oral narrative style with Eastern Mongolian folktales as the main style not only inherits the tradition of grassland nomadic culture, but also absorbs the nutrition of Han nationality's farming culture in Central Plains with broad mind. It reflects the farming life after settlement in an all-round and wide angle, thus forming the same and different cultural characteristics with Mongolian folk literature in grassland. The Eastern Mongolian folk literature not only contains the ancient Mongolian primitive worship ideas and reminiscences of forest hunting and nomadic life in the early stage of farming, but also has emerged a large number of works reflecting the farming life, conveying the Mongolian People's love and direction for farming production in this area; it not only describes the political, economic and marriage of Manchu and Mongolian people in the Eastern Mongolian region for 300 years The history of communication and interaction also shows the history of Mongolian and Han people's cooperative farming and development in western Liaoning and the integration of Mongolian, Han and Manchu cultures. These oral narratives are of great reference value to the study of the history and culture of the Mongolian people in eastern Mongolia, such as karaqin and Tumet, and to the study of the changes of the Mongolian culture.
Since ancient times, a group of famous storytellers and singers have been active in eastern Mongolia. They have made a great contribution to the prosperity of Eastern Mongolian folk literature. Their endless stories and songs reflect the unique plain and rich characteristics of karaqin folk literature, and show the world that Eastern Mongolian folk literature is rich in content Wealth, wide range of subjects and distinct cultural personality are irreplaceable.
However, with the passage of time, the inheritors of the left-wing Mongolian folk literature in karaqin have left one after another, and the inheritance pedigree has been difficult to continue. The Eastern Mongolian folk literature with important oral history value is fading out of people's memory. What is particularly worrying is that the recording materials collected and recorded by the local cultural departments in the past 20 years have begun to appear degaussing and distortion phenomenon, and the grass-roots cultural departments in poor areas have nothing to do. The Eastern Mongolian folk literature is really in a serious endangered situation, which is in urgent need of protection and rescue.
