Changning Miao costumes are popular in the Miao villages of Jiexiang, Changning County, Baoshan City, Yunnan Province. Its main raw material is local hemp cloth. Local Miao people spin hemp silk from hemp into thread by hand machine, and then weave hemp into homespun cloth by homespun machine. According to their hobbies and imagination, Miao women sew various patterns on the linen clothes and skirts to express their dreams and desires. A complete set of Miao women's dress, including Baotou, jacket, shawl, apron, belt, short pleated skirt and other 18 pieces, is vividly called "18 flowers". Bold color is the prominent feature of Changning Miao costumes. The main colors are red, yellow, orange and white, and embroidery is the best.
