In 2005, Yongchang Street realized (current price) GDP of 163.36 million yuan, including 45.45 million yuan for the primary industry, 27.62 million yuan for the secondary industry and 90.29 million yuan for the tertiary industry. For a long time, as the primary problem of Baita community, human and livestock drinking water has a great impact on people's production and life, and restricts the economic and social development of the community. Because of the lack of water source, the drinking water of the people in Baita community is basically solved by the traditional hanging well, which is not only inconvenient, but also small and easy to breed bacteria. In rainy season, the well water is turbid and cannot be drunk. All this has been seen in the eyes of the leading cadres of the sub district office and the community, but because of the water source problem, they have not been able to find a suitable solution. Taking advantage of learning the scientific outlook on development, the leading cadres made many in-depth investigations into the village groups, timely fed back the investigation results, and finally determined the plan for the construction of the drinking water project for human and livestock in Baita community. With the support of the district Party committee and the government, the whole project started in the expectation of the masses. Baita community human and animal drinking water project was officially started in early September after public bidding, and is expected to be completed by the end of October. The project involves 850 villagers, more than 3400 people and 195 large livestock. The project plans to build two 3m3 water intake tanks and one 500m3 regulating tank, and erect 7621m hot-dip galvanized pipe of main water delivery pipe, 30m hot-dip galvanized pipe of water distribution pipe, 1830m hot-dip galvanized pipe of water distribution pipe, and household pipes of four villages in Baita community. The total budget investment of the project is 1254100 yuan. After the completion of the project, the daily water supply will be 243.65 cubic meters, and the annual water consumption will be 122300 cubic meters, which will completely solve the problem of drinking water for people and livestock that has plagued the people in Baita community for many years.
