Shibao town

Shibao Town, belonging to the Darhan maoming'an United banner of Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the east of Darhan maoming'an United banner, adjacent to Xilamuren town in the East, Donghongsheng township of Wuchuan County in the south, Wuke town in the west, and darhansumu in the north. The area is 641.88 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 18849 people registered residence.

In 1953, Shibao township was transferred from Tumet banner to Damao Banner. In 1958, diansu Bulang township was transferred from Wuchuan county to Damao Banner. In 1962, the two townships of Shibao point were merged into Shibao commune. In 1984, Shibao commune was transformed into a township. In 2006, the five townships of kundoutan, Shibao, Dasuji, xiyingpan and xiaowengong merged into Shibao town. In June 2020, Shibao town governs 10 administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 24 industrial enterprises in Shibao Town, including 8 Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size and 1 comprehensive store or supermarket with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

In 1953, Shibao township was transferred from Tumet banner to Damao Banner.

In 1958, diansu Bulang township was transferred from Wuchuan county to Damao Banner.

In 1962, the two townships of Shibao point were merged into Shibao commune.

In 1984, Shibao commune was transformed into a township.

In 2006, the five townships of kundoutan, Shibao, Dasuji, xiyingpan and xiaowengong merged into Shibao town.
