Yuelai town is located at the junction of Shuyang, Suyu and Xinyi. The southwest of Shuyang County is 22 kilometers away from the county seat, covering an area of 88.47 square kilometers (2017). It is a typical agricultural town, with jurisdiction over 1 neighborhood committee, 11 administrative villages, 78 village name groups, 45521 people (2017), and cultivated land area of 85000 mu. The town has been rated as a provincial civilized township for two consecutive years. Science and technology, education and other work have also been rated as provincial advanced units. For three consecutive years, it has been rated as an advanced grass-roots party organization by Suqian Municipal Party committee.
