Chemical town is located in Mengzhou City, Henan Province. Mengzhou City is located in the southeast, 8 kilometers away from the city, south of the Yellow River, is located in the beach area, water is sufficient. The town is rich in land resources, with a total area of 66.44 square kilometers (2017), and a cultivated land area of 37000 mu. It is the main producing area of Rehmannia glutinosa with stable people's livelihood and harmonious society.

It is said that a young couple lived here in the Song Dynasty. Their husband carried a bow on his back and did not do his job. Later, he listened to his wife's advice and hung the bow to farm. Later, his descendants multiplied and formed a village, which was named hanging the bow. After a long time, they felt that hanging the bow was useless, so they took it and burned it, so they changed the bow. Later, because of the homonym of "Gong" and "Gong", they wrote "chemical engineering"; Qing Fen belonged to lirenli and liyili. In the Republic of China, it belonged to the first and second districts, and in the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to the second and sixth districts. In 1954, Xihua Township and Donghua Township were established successively. In 1955, it was merged into Xihua Township, and the township government was stationed in Yuhuang temple. When Daxiang was established in 1956, it was changed into a Chemical Industry Center Township. Mengxian chemical industry people's commune was established in 1958. In December 1983, it was renamed Mengxian chemical township. In October 1995, with the approval of the people's Government of Henan Province, the township was removed to build a town and renamed Mengxian chemical town. In May 1996, after the county was removed to build a city, it was renamed chemical town of Mengzhou City. In November 2005, beikaiyi village was incorporated into Dading office, and its name remained unchanged.
