Matou Town, located in the south of Handan City, is 15 kilometers away from the municipal government, covering an area of 18 square kilometers, with a permanent population of 42285 people (in 2017). It governs 7 communities and 12 administrative villages, and the town government is located at No. 18 middle street. Historical evolution

It belonged to Cixian County, Fengfeng city in 1955 and Handan suburb in 1956. Matou commune was established in 1958, Matou town was rebuilt in 1981, and it was assigned to Hanshan District in 1986. In 1997, it covers an area of 18 square kilometers and has a population of 32000.
