Historical evolution
It belonged to Manku Township in 1945, Banhong District in 1957, hongwuyi commune in 1969, Nanla commune in 1971, district change in 1984 and township establishment in 1988. In 1997, it covers an area of 275.8 square kilometers and has a population of 12000. It governs nine administrative villages, namely, Nanla, Nanjing, the Hague, Huguang, Jiaoshan, Baiyan, Laipian, manggang and Kemeng. In 2002, Nanla Township changed its name to mangka town.
