Qian Yiqing is a senior craftsman and artist. He was born in Yixing, Jiangsu Province in 1969. In 1987, he entered Zisha craft factory and studied pot making technology and modeling design with Chu Jiquan, a Chinese ceramic art master. Later, he studied ceramic carving decoration art with Huang Ziying, a senior craft artist. In 2002, he entered the Research Institute and continued to study with Bao Zhiqiang, a famous Chinese Ceramic Art master. The work focuses on the expression of poetry, calligraphy, painting and carving, and integrates ceramic art into one. It shows the golden stone flavor and scholarly style of purple sand, and is widely praised and affirmed by colleagues and collectors in the pot industry.
