Jiadingshan park is located in the middle of Shibei District, Qingdao City, with an altitude of 110.4 meters and an area of 168800 square meters. It is one of the ten mountain parks. It was built in 1985.

Jiading mountain, formerly known as Dashan, stretches eight mountain tops, with the main peak at an altitude of 112 meters. The mountain is like a tower, and the vegetation condition is general. Because of the long-term grass and no forest on the mountain, it is often called "guangtou mountain". According to the records of the historian, Jiading mountain is the "Tashan Dunpu" of the Ming Dynasty. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, the village was built and renamed Dashan to pray for prosperity. After the Republic of China, it became Dashan. In 1935, Qingdao public works bureau compiled the "Qingdao metropolitan development plan", which listed Dashan as a garden area and planted a large number of trees on the mountain. Because of the war, the forests were cut down. Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, trees on the mountain were almost bare and soil erosion was serious. In the 1960s, Jiading road was built at the foot of the mountain, named Jiading mountain. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, afforestation began in the mid-1950s, with Pinus thunbergii and Robinia pseudoacacia planted everywhere. In 1984, the municipal government decided to close the mountain and plant trees to build the park. It is designed by Sifang locomotive and rolling stock factory of the Ministry of Railways and Qingdao chemical engineering design institute according to the planning scheme of the Municipal Bureau of landscape architecture; it is funded by Sifang locomotive and rolling stock factory of the Ministry of railways, Beihai shipyard, 4406 factory of the people's Liberation Army, Yellow Sea aquaculture research institute, Shandong mariculture Research Institute, municipal chemical and petroleum industry company, Municipal Transportation Bureau and Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau. In March of the same year, it started to build 3 pavilions, 1 flower Gallery, 1 activity room for the elderly and 1 activity room for children, 2 Garden doors and 2 toilets, 1 sculpture group and 6 garden sceneries, build 5645m carriageway, 3540m sightseeing road and 1400 granite steps Road, and install stone tables and stone benches The total investment is 902800 yuan, including 615700 yuan raised by the unit and 287100 yuan subsidized by the government (including 153000 yuan for the purchase of green seedlings). 28000 trees were planted voluntarily by Qingdao Institute of textile technology and Institute of chemical engineering. On July 6, 1986, it was named "jiadingshan Park" by Qingdao Municipal People's government. It was completed and opened in November of the same year.

Olympic Jiading mountain

At the end of July 2008, on the eve of the Beijing Olympic Games, a large-scale mountain Olympic relief with the theme of "China India · Dancing Beijing" was unveiled in Jiading mountain. The relief, 25 meters high and 18 meters wide, was built on June 29 with an investment of more than 500000 yuan. It is based on the natural landscape of the mountain. The inscription on the relief reads: "Beijing Olympic Games, Qingdao sail, 2008 Chinese dream come true, the whole country celebrate the common happiness of all people, and we sincerely hope to engrave a permanent year". It is the largest "China seal" landscape sculpture in Qingdao. The sculpture is integrated with the natural scenery of mountains and forests, and is surrounded by spotlights. It has a night landscape effect with strong three-dimensional, beautiful and novel shape, and good visual effect. Due to the high terrain, the "China seal" can be seen from the signal mountain on the front line of Qianhai, becoming another beautiful scenery on Jiading mountain.
