Nine kilometers to the northeast, at the foot of huangniu mountain. Here, the grotesque peaks stand out, the grotesque rocks are towering, the ancient trees block out the sun, and the flowing water runs all over the cave. On the north of the cave, there are "man's stones" which look like hanging in the air. The cave is 14 meters high, 13 meters wide, 37 meters deep and hollow.

It is located at the foot of huangniu mountain nine kilometers northeast of Bushan customs district. Here, the strange peaks are abrupt, the strange rocks are towering, the ancient trees are covered, and the flowing water is diffuse. In the north of the cave, there is a "man stone" overlooking the mountains, and in the south, there is a "Zhong stone", which looks like hanging in the air. The cave is 14 meters high, 13 meters wide and 37 meters deep. Inside the cave, there was a three storey attic, in which there were statues of gods. In the back wall of the cave, there were statues of Sakyamuni and eighteen Arhats. There are many inscriptions on the two walls of the cave. In addition to Zhu Hongfan's poem stele of "xuanyang cave" in 1602, there are also inscriptions in Chongzhen of Ming Dynasty and Yongzheng of Qing Dynasty. There is another cave above the left side of the cave, and there is a cave deep behind. There are dozens of stone steps in the cave. The sunlight shines directly from the stone gap in the cave, only seeing the sunlight but not the sun, just like hanging in the sun cave, which is very interesting and fascinating.

According to the records of xuanzhi, "there is a cave at the top of the cave, and the sun shines on it. Then there is a trail on the mountain, and finally there is no place for it to go through.". It is named xuanyang cave. There is another hole with the word "Shengjing" engraved on it. There is a sound of dripping water in the hole. It is a scenic spot beside the "SANDAOGUAN" of the Great Wall.

present situation

After 1949, the xuanyang cave was rebuilt several times with government funding. The last time it was rebuilt was in 1990. The existing buildings include Shanmen, xuanyang cave and Guanyin cave. Three pieces of Steles are preserved, namely "xuanyang cave stele", "Guanyin cave stele" and "xuanyang cave stele". Dongkou ancient pine was planted in the Ming Dynasty. It has been growing for more than 500 years and is still full of vitality.
