Jingxian Park
Jingxian park is located directly opposite the gate of Jimei University's College of marine engineering. It is a leisure park built by Jimei District People's government and Jimei University Committee to commemorate Chen Jingxian with a fund of 12 million yuan.
As one of the 90th anniversary projects of Jimei school, Jingxian Park started construction at the end of 2001. After nearly two years of efforts, it was completed at the end of August 2003.
brief introduction
The park covers a total area of 47445 square meters, including 4850 square meters of road square, 23515 square meters of green area and 18000 square meters of water area. The project also renovated the Jingxian cemetery, integrating 16 tombs of Tan Kah Kee's ancestors into two new pagodas in the park. The Lee Foundation of Singapore and the government of Jimei District also jointly funded the construction of bronze statues of Chen wenque, Chen Liushi and Li Guangqian in the park.
