Jizhou Confucian Temple

Built in the Tang Dynasty, Jizhou Confucian temple is a county-level cultural relic protection unit. It is located on the west side of Gulou North Street in the county. It is an ancient building complex with dule temple as the center and Wuding street as the central axis, adjacent to Luban temple in the East and West. It covers an area of more than 2000 square meters, and its specifications belong to the state level. The whole building is composed of two courtyards, including Lingxing gate, dengqiu bridge, panchi, dachengmen (or Chengji gate), dongxipeidian, Dongwei, Xiwei, dachengdian, etc. it has been repaired in many dynasties. From Kangxi of Qing Dynasty to Daoguang of five emperors, they respectively wrote "wanshibiao", "shengminweiyou", "yutiandi Shen", "shengjidacheng", "shengxieshizhong" plaque and tripod It is extremely prosperous.

Dacheng hall, the main building of Jixian Confucian temple, is five rooms wide, with seven purlins. The top of the platform is made of hard Hill tiles and the base of the platform is made of stone. There is a platform in front of the hall, which is a place to worship Confucius.

The stone steps and Yong road in front of the platform are connected with the halberd gate. The front of the halberd is three rooms wide, with five purlins; the top of the halberd is hard hill, with tube tiles; the stone of the platform foundation is big Bluestone. The East and West platforms are flat with the platform, each with five rooms, and the hard mountain is covered with tiles.

Architecture

Dacheng hall, East and West veranda and halberd gate constitute a courtyard. There are five ancient pines in the courtyard. Although the courtyard is not big, it gives people a sense of magnificence and decency. On the east side of the halberd gate, there is a famous official Temple, with a three room wide face. On the wall, there is a stele inscribed with the story of the drunken man Pavilion written by Zhao Mengfu. On the east side is the Xiangxian temple. In front of the halberd gate, there is panchi, on which there are three stone arch bridges, called Dengying bridge. It was built in 1695.

Pan pool in front of the lattice gate, stone, four pillars, three doors. The overall layout of the Confucian temple is quadrangle, which is well preserved. The existing buildings include 3 halberd gate, 5 Xianshi hall, 5 East and West verandas, 5 Lingxing gate, panchi, Shiqiao, corridor in front of Dacheng hall, platform, ancient pine, ancient locust and stone tablet in front of the platform. The layout is rigorous and clear.
