Baisha square is adjacent to Baisha ancient well. To the west of the square are Helong Stadium, the largest stadium in Hunan Province.

brief introduction

Helong gymnasium is a comprehensive and multifunctional modern gymnasium. It has a total construction area of 18425 square meters, 6500 fixed and activity seats, and a competition hall of 58 × 30 meters. The name of "Helong Gymnasium" was written by General Wang Zhen himself, and the font is powerful. Gymnastic, tennis, handball, badminton, gymnastics and other sports competitions can be held in the museum, as well as artistic, acrobatic performances and various gatherings. The second floor is equipped with an audience rest hall and colored glass fiber reinforced plastic seats; the third floor is equipped with a control center.

The main project of Helong Stadium is 8-storey (partial 9-storey) frame, with a building area of 11758600 square meters. The external walls above 5-storey are arc shear walls. The lowest roof elevation is 28.8 meters, and the highest is 33 meters. The whole frame is composed of 484 frame columns. The main part of the whole appearance is decorated with the most popular glass curtain wall in the world. Helong Stadium can accommodate 60000 spectators. The construction area of steel roof project is 45700 square meters, and the steel consumption is 3552 tons.

On the square, there is a group of bronze group sculptures named "man and nature", which are respectively "explosion", "run", "jump", "wave", "dance" and "fight". The overall performance of the harmonious relationship between man and nature, the group sculptures are made of bronze, weighing dozens of tons.

Located at the intersection of Laodong West Road and Furong Middle Road, the square is surrounded by a prosperous business district. In the north of the square stands the ferris wheel, which is known as the No.1 in Asia. The underground of the square is Carrefour's shopping mall. The square provides a good place for people to relax. However, there are no public chairs and stools in the square. Many people sit beside the flower beds and sculptures, or even sit on the ground.
