Nanning Minzu Avenue passes through the main area of Nanning city from west to East, which is the pride of Nanning citizens and the name card and face of Nanning city. In 1987, the national Avenue started from the north of Yongjiang bridge to the present Yuanhu intersection of the national Avenue; in 1991, the national Avenue was built from Yuanhu intersection to Nanhu bridgehead; it was not until 2002 that the final expansion of the national Avenue was completed.

Minzu Avenue in Nanning city starts from the former Chaoyang Jiangbin overpass in the West and connects with the North-South Expressway Toll Station in the East. The extension line project of the west section of Minzu Avenue is located at the intersection of Chaoyang Jiangbin overpass and Minsheng Road. It is about 400 meters long, 60 meters wide, two-way six lane, with a total investment of about 3.7 billion yuan. It connects the traffic of the main bridges of Yongjiang River in the urban area and forms the main traffic axis in the east-west direction of the city. Nanning Chaoyang Jiangbin overpass collapsed on March 1, 2004 in the sound of blasting. The demolition of this overpass, which has been accompanying the citizens for 16 years, is a part of the large-scale urban reconstruction of Nanning city to welcome the China ASEAN Expo held in Nanning in November 2004.
