Han Jie, born in Xiaoyi City, Shanxi Province in 1977, is a director, screenwriter and producer in mainland China. He graduated from the computer department of Kunming University of Geosciences in Yunnan Province and the film and television production major of Art Department of Beijing Normal University.

In 2002, he directed his first short film "Chinese New Year", which won the best short film award of student group of Beijing University Film Festival. In 2004, he was the assistant director of the plot film the world. In 2006, he directed his first film, kid Lai, which won the golden tiger Award for best film at the 35th Rotterdam International Film Festival. In 2011, he directed the comedy "Hello! Mr. tree", which won the golden Baron award of the 14th Shanghai International Film Festival - special award of the jury. Early experience

Han Jie's dream as a child was to grow up to be an artist. Because Han Jie's parents divorced and worked in other places, he lived with his grandmother since childhood. Han Jie had an extraordinary interest in painting and acting when he was a child.
