Shuidong old street

Stepping on Shuidong old street, I feel similar to other old streets, half of which are shops and half are dilapidated houses. Most of the people who live here are old people. Young people go out to find their own world and visit Shuidong old street. They have to go to "Shibata". Shibata is the eighteen stone steps that ancient Shuidong people connected with Shuiyangjiang Wharf in high commercial and residential areas. There is a well here, and the eighteen steps on a two-story archway, which is simple and elegant, integrated with the style of the old street. On the 18th, two stone lions stepped down to guard the ancient square well made of bluestone. A small stone arch bridge was divided into water categories: drinking on the bridge and washing under the bridge. The well water is clear and sweet. It doesn't dry up all the year round. It flows from the pool to the river outside the street and then into the Shuiyang river. Now the old street has tap water, but the old people still say that well water is sweet. The Church of Notre Dame behind the old street has a history of 100 years. It is the first Catholic Church in southern Anhui. It was built by a French priest at that time, which is a highlight. There are also government buildings, schools, hospitals and so on built during the liberation. What attracts me most is that there are no tickets here

Shuidong Notre Dame church is as famous as Sheshan Notre Dame Church in Shanghai, and has a high reputation in Southeast Asia. Among them, the representative buildings are "dafudi", "wulongyuan", "fire bell tower", "wangtongfa oil workshop", "qingchangren pawnshop", etc. Ningdong Temple (also known as Sanguan Temple) at the entrance of the old street was built in the Tang Dynasty. It is the oldest temple in Xuanzhou. Shuidong Notre Dame church, a Gothic church standing in the corner of the old street, is the first Catholic Church in southern Anhui and one of the two largest Catholic churches in six provinces and cities in East China
