Chen Shen, the protagonist of the novel "sparrow" written by Haifei and the spy revolutionary TV series "sparrow", is played by Li Yifeng. He also appeared in the spy battle of the deep sea, played by Wang Yang.

Chen Shen, a double-sided spy with a hairdresser background, is an agent who lurks around Bi Zhongliang, the head of Wang's puppet agent headquarters. He joined the underground organization of the Communist Party in an unusual period and was ordered to "switch" to the Wang puppet secret service. He likes to drink a kind of soda called gevas. He often goes to the MGM dance hall to dance, and he also helps Wang puppet agent leader run the opium business. No matter from which point of view, he can be regarded as a well mixed up "white man" in Shanghai. He also has a bit of position and can call the wind and rain.
