Shannanchang Guozhuo dance
Applicant: Tibet Autonomous Region
Shannanchang Guozhuo dance is a kind of waist dance, originated in Dabu (now Jiacha) area. It is said that in the middle of the eighth century, with the assistance of lianhuasheng and other Buddhist masters, the 37th generation of Tibetan king chisongdezan built the first temple in Tibet, Sangye temple, on the North Bank of the Yarlung Zangbo River. At night, the walls built by craftsmen in the daytime were destroyed by demons. In order to confuse ghosts and gods, master lianhuasheng invited the seven brothers of zhuoba (performers of zhuoba dance) from Dabu area to dance zhuoba to suppress demons. Since then, zhuoba dance has been popular in Shannan. Most villages in Shannan have Zhuo dance teams, and later this form of dance gradually spread to other areas. This shows that Guozhuo dance in Nanchang has a history of at least 1300 years.
The waist drum used by Zhuo dance is tied with two drum bands, one around the performer's waist and the other around the root of the performer's thigh, which vertically fix the round drum on the left side of the waist. During the performance, the traditional formation is basically round, and the performers are divided into two types: lead dance (a re) and group dance (zhuoba). In the whole performance team, the number of leading dancers varies from 2 to 6. They don't wear waist drum, and they mainly remind the movement to change the order and control the rhythm speed. Their movement rhythm is strong, and their posture is basically the same as that of group dance, but the difficulty is small. The leading dancers are all personnel who are familiar with the whole dance's movement, sequence and have long performance experience. The group dancers beat the drum while dancing according to the rhythm of the drum. At the same time, the dance moves the long hair braids into "∞" and "∧" and other forms. The movements are bold, vigorous, powerful, rhythmic and changeable.
Zhuo dance consists of 18 parts: 1. Three step drumming; 2. Parrot; 3. Antujingdi; 4. Pile driving on lianhuashengyan; 5. Lion jumping; 6. Tiger lion fighting; 7. Lianhuantao; 8. Zhantan fairy; 9. Footstone of Sangye corner; 10. Three strikes on the ground; 11. Drumming; 12. Crow walking on Vajra; 13. King's throne; 14. Fortune gate; 15. Subjects; 16. Worship offering; 17. Elephant lying on one's side; 18. Nine step drumming. Zhuo dance integrates movement, rhythm, skill and rhythm. All aspects are in harmony and highly unified. It has infinite charm because it is difficult to see.
Recently, the preservation of shannanchang Guozhuo dance among the people is not optimistic. Great efforts should be made to effectively protect it so as not to be lost.
