Applicant: Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province
Guangzhou Guangcai porcelain firing technique is the representative of overglaze painting. It has a long history. It began in the Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty and has been more than 300 years. In history, Guangcai porcelain was exported in large quantities due to the demand of western merchants. Guangcai porcelain has a wide range of subjects and bright colors. Its firing techniques mainly include the production of color paint, the use of color painting tools, and the technique of sealing gold and "fighting color". The types of painting can be divided into four categories: manual painting, fixed burning painting, MPF painting and Lingnan Painting School painting. There are many kinds of Guangcai porcelain, including daily utensils, furnishings and ornaments, stationery and entertainment supplies, religious tools and so on.
Guangcai porcelain has three colors, five colors, enamel colors and other different types, and also imitates the western painting method to make the unique style of painted porcelain. Its firing skills are rooted in the folk, reflecting the fusion of Chinese and Western colored porcelain skills, unique pigment production, strong Lingnan cultural characteristics, rich painting techniques and themes, which has important cultural and historical research value.
As an important carrier of Lingnan culture, Guangcai porcelain still enjoys a high reputation at home and abroad.
