Nongle dance is one of the traditional Korean dances, which is widely spread among the Korean people. Tieling City in the north of Liaoning Province is a multi-ethnic area with a Korean population of 23434. The murals around the 5th century unearthed from the tombs in Tieling and its surrounding areas vividly depict the joyful dance scenes of the Korean ancestors.

Tieling Korean folk music and dance originated from sacrificial activities, and gradually evolved into a kind of self entertainment dance in the process of development. Now it is popular among the Korean people in Tieling, and it has to be performed every happy day. Tieling Korean nongyue dance is a large-scale comprehensive dance, which is composed of masked dance, small drum dance, long drum dance, elephant hat dance, etc. the whole performance takes several hours. The performance is guided by percussion instruments, gongs and drums. At the beginning, in the middle and at the end, it is directed by the Gong player who acts as the leader. Before the Gong player, there was a flag player, holding a flag with the words "the great foundation of the world is the farmer", dancing with enthusiasm. There is no actor and performer in the performance of agricultural music and dance. Generally, actors perform while dancing. During the performance, the melodies played by Gong, Zheng, Dagu, Xiaogu, Jiegu, changgu, dapingxiao, loudspeakers and Luojiao are called "Twelve beats", which can determine the movements and formation changes of the dance.

The music of Nong music and dance has a unique variety of melody, which is called "Twelve beats". "Twelve beats" is arranged according to the method of dance composition, and its dance movements and composition are specified. Nongle dance is a large-scale comprehensive dance, and its whole performance takes several hours to complete.

Tieling Korean folk music and dance is a typical representative of Korean folk music and dance in ethnic mixed areas. It reflects the development history and production and living conditions of Korean people in a special way, and plays an important role in promoting national cultural identity.
