Yian town
Yi'an Town, subordinate to Yi'an County, Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the north of Yi'an county and the North Bank of Wuyuer. It is adjacent to Taidong Township in the East, Xintun Township in the west, central town in the South and Hongxing and Shangyou Township in the north, with a total administrative area of 35.41 square kilometers. The name of Yi'an town comes from Yi'an banner of yikeming in Qing Dynasty. In September 1979, Yi'an commune changed to Yi'an town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Yi An town was 67291. In 2019, Yi'an town governs 7 communities and 3 administrative villages.

Historical evolution
The name of Yi'an town comes from Yi'an banner of yikeming in Qing Dynasty.
Before the 22nd year of Qianlong (1757) of Qing Dynasty, it was the livelihood pasture of Mongolia, also known as babeizi, belonging to the Mongolian Banner office. In 1757, yikeming'an banner was set up.
In 1920, it was changed to Tai'an town. In October 1923, District 4 moved to Taian town. In the 18th year of the Republic of China (October 1929), it was assigned to Keshan County. In the thirtieth year of the Republic of China (September 1941), it was transferred to Yi'an County; in October of the same year, the puppet County Office moved from Longquan Town (today's Yi'an town) to Taian town (today's Yi'an town). In 1947, it belonged to heinen province.
In August 1955, it was renamed Yian town. In September 1958, the town changed into a commune. In September 1979, the commune was transformed into a town.
