Shangbei Town, subordinate to Xingtang County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, is located in the northwest of Xingtang County, bordering Longzhou town in the East, Zhaiying Township in the south, Chengzhai Township in the West and Shangshang Township in the north, with an administrative area of 25.42 square kilometers.

In 1952, the agricultural production mutual aid group was established; in 1984, it was changed into Shangbei township; in 1996, it was removed from the township and replaced with Shangbei town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Shang Bei town was 18693. As of June 2020, Shangbei town has jurisdiction over 17 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in xibeijie village.

In 2011, the financial revenue of Shangbei town was 10.17 million yuan, including 2.25 million yuan of national tax and 7.92 million yuan of local tax. History of construction

In 1952, the agricultural production mutual aid group was established.

In 1954, four districts of Tang County were set up; in the same year, primary agricultural production cooperatives were established.

In 1956, a senior agricultural production cooperative was established.

In 1958, it was incorporated into Xinle county and Shangbei commune was established.

In 1961, 12 villages in the North set up shangziyang commune, 13 villages in the northwest set up beichengzhai commune, 7 villages in the West set up Renjiazhuang commune, 11 villages set up xiayanzhuang commune, 13 villages in the South set up nanzhaiying commune, and the remaining 12 villages were still Shangbei commune.

In 1962, Xingtang County was restored to its original state.

In 1984, it was changed to Shangbei township.

In 1996, the township was withdrawn and Shangbei town was established.
