Yandian Township
Yandian township (or "Yandian township") belongs to Wafangdian City, Dalian City, Liaoning Province. It is located in the northwest of Wafangdian City, adjacent to Zhaotun Township in the East, Xiyang Township and Weitao farm in the west, Taiyang street in the South and Yongning Town in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 15 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 12 kilometers, with a total area of 112.13 square kilometers. In late 2018, Yan shop had 26442 registered residence population.
Yandian township is named after Yandian village where the Township People's government is located. In March 1958, it was transferred to Yongning commune. In May 1961, Yandian commune was established. In September 1983, Yandian commune was transformed into Yandian township. As of June 2020, Yandian township has a total of 7 administrative villages.
In 2018, there were 9 industrial enterprises in Yandian Township, including 2 large-scale and 36 comprehensive stores with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
In 1945, Yandian District belonged to Yongning and Fuzhou districts.
After 1951, it was assigned to Yongning district.
In March 1958, it was transferred to Yongning commune.
In May 1961, Yandian commune was established.
In September 1983, Yandian commune was transformed into Yandian township.

The remaining veins of Qianshan Mountain extend slowly from northeast to southwest along the territory. The stream is short and small, and the hilly land is gentle, which belongs to low mountain and hilly area. The highest point is located in Dazuo mountain of Wangtun, 116 meters above sea level; the lowest point is located in Beiwa of Huangpu, 3 meters above sea level.

The main rivers in Yandian township are Chenglan River and Songjia River, which flow into Bohai Bay from southeast to northwest. Chenglan River, with a total length of 9950 meters, is located in the northeast of Yandian township. It originates from Jiandian, beishantun village, and flows through Heping, gaofenfang, Wangtun, Lishan, Chenglan, Zuojia, Dongzhang, Xuejia, Huangbao villages. It meets Weitao River and flows into Bohai Bay. Songjiahe River, 7114 meters in length, is located in the middle of the township. It originates in yutun, Chijia village, flows through Guojia village and Songjia village, meets Weitao River and flows into Bohai Bay.
