Wumu town

Wumu town is located in the north of Pingchang County, Sichuan Province, covering an area of 35.88 square kilometers. It is adjacent to Sanxi Township in Tongjiang County in the East, Desheng Town in the north, Yuanshan town in the South and Shuanglu Township in the West. It has jurisdiction over 8 administrative villages and 55 agricultural cooperatives with a total population of 14033 (2017). The highest point is Nantianmen with an altitude of 765.4 meters, and the lowest point is Sanchahe with an altitude of 433 meters and an average altitude of 600 meters. The territory is a subtropical climate zone with mild climate, suitable light, early spring and cool autumn, long frost free period and four distinct seasons.

It mainly produces rice, wheat, corn, sweet potato, rape, potato and other crops. Bazhong City

Pingchang county is a town established by "withdrawing villages to establish towns". On January 19, 2015, Chuanfu Civil Affairs [2015] No. 3 approved the cancellation of Wumu Township in Pingchang county and the establishment of Wumu town in Bazhong City, which governs the original administrative region of Wumu Township, and the people's Government of the town is located at 188 Wumu street.

On May 25, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish Wumu town.
