Qianwei ecological village

Qianwei village is located in the middle of Chongming Island, 23 kilometers away from Nanmen port, close to Dongping forest park. Once a desolate and quiet village, now it has both urban scenery and pastoral poetry.

In February 2020, in order to express gratitude for the dedication of medical workers across the country, the avant-garde ecological village implemented a free admission policy for medical workers across the country (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) from the restoration of the park to December 31, 2020.

Avant garde has turned industrial wastes, vegetable gardens, human and animal wastes and water into resources, protected the environment, and coordinated the development of industry, agriculture, sideline industry, tourism and other industries. Agricultural experts at home and abroad have visited the avant garde village and praised the ecological engineering here. Qu Geping, former director of the national environmental and Resource Protection Commission, once visited Qianwei village for a week in 1994, praising the high starting point of ecological engineering in Qianwei village, setting a precedent for ecological village in China. Since 1984, the village has been named as "the Party branch of Wuhao village" and "the model village" by the municipal Party committee and the municipal government. In 1995, it was also named as "the national green thousand village" and "the national popular science education base". In 1996, it was awarded the nomination award of "global environment 500" by the United Nations.

Free policy
