Lingling tower

Lingling tower is a new antique building built in the 1980s in Yongzhou City (now Lingling District of Yongzhou City). It is located in middle Xiaoshui Road, Lingling District, Yongzhou City, Hunan Province. It is a landmark building of the ancient city of Yongzhou.

geographical position

Lingling tower is open to traffic in the South and North. The road in the north runs through Xujiajing and Xiaoxiang middle road to Qianjin Street. The road in the South leads to the east gate, Confucian temple and South Gate of Lingling in song and Qing Dynasties. Therefore, Lingling tower is a bridge connecting the north and South of Dongshan scenic area.

Around Lingling building

To the east of Lingling tower is a street, a garden and a village, and one street is wanwanzhuang antique street. It collects antiques' calligraphy and paintings, stone carving boards and rare treasures from southern Hunan and even all over the country, attracting foreign antique merchants from all over Guangxi, Hengyang, Zhuzhou, Changde, Shaoyang and Chenzhou to settle down in Lingling.

Huaisu park is famous for the great calligrapher huaisu of Tang Dynasty, who studied calligraphy with banana leaves instead of paper. His cursive script is famous all over the world, so the park is named "huaisu". In order to commemorate huaisu, the park integrates the natural landscape and cultural landscape. It has gradually restored such places of interest as zuishenglou, shuchan jingshe, Zhongjiao Pavilion, xueshuting, Bizhong, Mochi, etc., and built a comprehensive park with rich cultural connotation. It is the destination of all literati and calligraphers.

Lingling Cultural Village

Lingling cultural village is a newly-built cultural collection market. Here are the famous plaque Museum of Hunan Province, Yongzhou collectors association and Yongzhou painting and calligraphy art museum, which have opened successively, welcoming batch after batch of visitors. This newly-built cultural village has become a cultural exchange center of Lingling.

Dongshan scenic spot

To the south of Lingling tower is Dongshan scenic spot under development. It is considered to be the soul of Yongzhou culture and the highest place where Lingling ancient city is located. Up to now, the complete fahua temple and Wu Temple have been preserved, showing people the thousand year history and culture of Yongzhou.
