Daheiting reservoir

Daheiting reservoir is located on the main stream of Luanhe River, 5km north of Qianxi County, Tangshan City, with a drainage area of 35100 square kilometers. The drainage area between Panjiakou and Daheiting reservoir is 1400 km2, accounting for 79% of the total drainage area of Luanhe River. Daheiting reservoir is an annual regulating reservoir with a total storage capacity of 337 million cubic meters. There is Panjiakou Reservoir about 30 km upstream of the reservoir. Daheiting and Panjiakou reservoirs are jointly used to play the role of flood control and water supply.

Reservoir building

The main buildings are a wide joint concrete dam and two hydropower stations behind the dam. A 110kV High voltage switch station is set behind the dam on the right bank. The crest elevation of the main dam is 138.80m (Yellow Sea elevation), the flood level of the dam is 138.50m, the normal pool level is 133.00m (the same as the design flood level), and the dead water level is 121.50m. The dam type of the project adopts the optimized section of the drainage measures in the dam with the wide seam closed water blocking curtain. The operation for more than ten years shows that the design of the dam is reasonable and the construction quality is good. The measured values of settlement, displacement, leakage and uplift pressure of the dam are all within the design scope. Reservoir dam

The dam of the reservoir is a second-class building, and the hydropower station is a third-class building. The basic seismic intensity is 7 degrees, and the design adopts 8 degrees. The main dam has a length of 1354m, a crest elevation of 138.8m (Yellow Sea elevation, the same below), a riverbed elevation of 101m, a minimum bedrock elevation of 86m and a maximum dam height of 52.8m. The storage capacity is 337 million cubic meters. The dam is designed according to the flood with a return period of 100 years, checked according to the flood with a return period of 1000 years, and the dam protection standard is the maximum possible rainfall in the basin. There is a 28 hole spillway in the middle of the dam, which is controlled by 15 × 21.1m radial gate. The maximum flood discharge capacity is 60750 m3 / s. There are 8 bottom outlets on the right side of the spillway, the size of which is 5 × 10m, controlled by 5.76 × 10.05m flat steel gate, and the maximum discharge capacity is 6750 m3 / s.

Reservoir power station

The headgate of Daheiting reservoir is located on the left side of the headworks power station, with 4 holes in total. The size of the hole is 4 × 4m. It is controlled by 4.1 × 4.06M flat steel gate, and the diversion flow is controlled by 160m3 / s. A headwork power station is set on the right side of the headwork gate, with an installed capacity of 1280kw (4 × 032kw). A river bed power station is set on the right side of the bottom outlet dam section, with an installed capacity of 880kw. The total installed capacity of the two power stations is 21600kw, with an average annual power generation of 46.8 million kwh.

Engineering benefit

Daheiting reservoir is one of the large-scale backbone projects to develop Luanhe River and cross basin water diversion to Tianjin city, Tangshan City and their subordinate counties. The important role of Daheiting reservoir is to undertake the regulation of water volume of Panjiakou Reservoir, improve water level, create conditions for cross basin water diversion, and retain water from Panjiakou and large areas. The next channel is the return of Luanhe people, the steep return of Luanhe people and the Tianjin channel of Luanhe people. It provides water source for Tangshan City, Tianjin city and the downstream of Luanhe River for industry, agriculture and city, and uses water conveyance for power generation.

The project was completed and put into operation in 1986. It has supplied 18.3 billion cubic meters of water and 174 million kilowatts per hour of electricity to Tianjin, Tanghe and the lower reaches of Luanhe River, bringing remarkable social benefits. After the completion of the project, it will be combined with the upstream Panjiakou Reservoir to supply 2.134 billion cubic meters of water to the downstream every year. Except for 415 million cubic meters of agricultural water in coastal areas, the remaining 1.719 billion cubic meters of water will be transferred to the south for industrial and agricultural water in Tangshan and Tianjin.
