Huayang Road Street

Huayang Road Street is located in the northeast of Changning District, Shanghai, starting from Caojiadu in the East, Jiangsu Road Street in the East, Putuo District and Jing'an District in the district; light rail pearl in the west, zhoujiaqiao street in the district; West Yan'an Road Viaduct in the south, Xinhua Road Street in the district; Suzhou River in the north, across the river from Putuo District. With an area of 2.04 square kilometers, there are 21 neighborhood committees and 72730 residents (in 2010).

Evolution of organizational system

It got its name from Huayang Road.

At the beginning of 1960, Huayang Road and Changning Road were merged into Huayang Road Street, and Yan'an west road and West Railway Station were merged into Wuyi Street (changed to Wuyi Road Street in June 1987). The streets were named Huayang Road and Wuyi Road respectively.

At the end of 1992, Huayang Road Street started from Changning Road in the East, reached zhewan Hangdu road in the east wall of Zhongshan Park in the west, followed Changning Road in the South and zhewan Hangdu back road of Wusong River in the north, with an area of 0.65 square kilometers, a population of 43399 people in 14417 households, 14 neighborhood committees and offices at 650 Changning Road; Wuyi Road Street started from the east wall of Zhongshan Park in the East, crossed Changning Road, turned Yuyuan Road, Anxi road and Wuyi Road in the west, and ended at 650 Changning Road The Shanghai Hangzhou railway, with an area of 1.43 square kilometers, has a population of 18283 households and 52985 people. It governs 24 neighborhood committees and its office is located at No. 7, Lane 1235, Dingxi road.

In 1995, Wuyi Road and Huayang Road were abolished and a new Huayang Road was established.

On March 13, 2019, Huayang Road sub district office moved from No. 12, Lane 1310, Dingxi road to Lane 1289, Dingxi road.

Institutional responsibilities

The sub district office is the agency of the District People's government. Under the leadership of the District People's government, in accordance with the provisions of laws, regulations and rules, or with the support of the District People's government, it performs the functions of organization and leadership, comprehensive coordination, supervision and inspection in the aspects of urban management, community service, economic development, social security and the construction of two civilizations. The fourth Huayang Community Culture Festival lasts for two months and has four sections.
