Dongsheng township

Dongsheng township is under the jurisdiction of Baoqing county. Located in the northeast of the county, Naoli River West Bank, east of 853 farm. The township government is 40 kilometers away from the county seat. The township has jurisdiction over 10 villages, including Beigang, Jinlong, Yinlong, Zhonggang, liumaogang, Lianhe, Dongfeng, toudaolin, erdaolin and sandaolin. At the end of 1992, the total population of the township was 4242, mainly Han nationality. The township government is located in sandaolin village.

Historical evolution

Dongsheng rural area, formerly a wasteland, known as "sandaolinzi", belongs to Qingshan commune. In 1979, a new commune was established, which was named Dongsheng commune because it was located in the east of the county. In May 1984, it was changed to Dongsheng township.

economic development

Dongsheng township is located in the alluvial plain of Naoli River and xiaonaoli River, where there are many marshes. The cultivated land area of the township is 43000 mu, which is mainly agriculture with all mechanized production. The main crops are wheat, soybean, rice, etc.
