Jindian town

Jindian town is located in the middle of Linfen basin in central and southern Shanxi, on the West Bank of Fenhe River and the east side of Luliang river. It is connected with Liucun town in the north, zhentou town in the west, Xiangling town in Xiangfen County in the South and yaomiao town across Fenhe River. In ancient legend, the capital of Yao was the early capital of South Korea during the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period, the capital of Zhao (Han and Zhao) before the Sixteen Kingdoms period, and the seat of the former Pingyang County and Pingyang County. There are 38 administrative villages in the town, covering an area of 95.9 square kilometers. There is Longzici spring at the foot of the west mountain. The main rivers are Muzi River (Fuhe River and Mohe River), Yuejin canal (formerly Jinzhang small canal), Hongqi Canal and Shangguan river. Historical evolution

In ancient times, it belonged to Jizhou; the legendary capital of Yao was Pingyang; in the Western Zhou and spring and autumn dynasties, it belonged to Jin; in the early Warring States period, it belonged to the capital of South Korea; in the middle and late Warring States period, it belonged to Wei; in the Qin Dynasty, it belonged to Hedong County, and later to the feudal land of King Bao of the Western Wei; in the Western Han Dynasty, it belonged to Pingyang County; from the Eastern Han Dynasty to Sui, it belonged to Pingyang County; in the northern and Southern Dynasties, Liu Yuanjian's capital was here, which means Jinluan palace. After that, it successively belonged to Pingyang County, Linfen County, Linfen City and Yaodu District; in 2000, Linfen City at the county level changed its name to Yaodu District, and Xiaoyu Township, Longci Township and Jindian Town, which originally belonged to Jindian Town, merged to form Jindian town again.
