Yangcheng Township

Yangcheng Township belongs to Fenyang City, Shanxi Province. It is located 5 kilometers south of Fenyang City, between Fenyang and Xiaoyi. It connects Sanquan town in the west, Lijiazhuang town in the northwest, Wenfeng street in Fenyang City in the north, xiaojiazhuang town in the northeast, Yanwu town in the East, Chongwen street and Sima Street in Xiaoyi City in the south. The township governs 18 administrative villages with a total area of 74.64 square kilometers. The township party committee and government are located in xiyangcheng village. Yangcheng township is also the entrepreneurial base of small and medium-sized enterprises (Fenyang) in Shanxi Province and the industrial park of waste tires recycling in Fenyang City.

Evolution of organizational system

On June 22, 1984, the commune system of Fenyang county was changed to township system, and Jianxi Township and Yangcheng Township were established.

In 2001, Fenyang City carried out the work of merging towns and townships, and Jianxi township was merged into urban and rural areas of Fenyang City.

On May 21, 2012, the people's Government of Fenyang City issued a notice on the announcement of 262 administrative village villagers' committees and 37 community residents' committees in Fenyang City, establishing 262 administrative village villagers' committees and 37 community residents' committees. Yangcheng Township belongs to Pingchuan District. It is located in the middle of Xiaoyi City in Fenyang City. It faces xiaojiazhuang town and Yanwu town across the river in the East, Sanquan town and Lijiazhuang town in the west, Xiaoyi City in the South and Wenfeng street in Fenyang City in the north. It is a typical suburban township. The total area of the township is 89 square kilometers, with 76000 mu of cultivated land and 43411 people. The whole township is flat and fertile. It belongs to Jinghe double irrigation area. The groundwater resources are rich, but the mineral resources are relatively poor.

Transportation

Yangcheng city and countryside are the golden area of the hub connecting Fen, Xiaojie, Jieping, Pingling five counties and cities. Cultural tourism

Donglongguan tomb group was listed as the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units in 2013. It is planned to build the National Museum of Song Jin tomb group on the original site.

The Yangko of Xiyang city is protected by the national intangible heritage and often performs outside. Tiantun village, Yucheng and Xiaochen women's gongs and drums teams are constantly growing. They often perform in Spring Festival and lantern festival every year.
