Kaiyuan Street

Kaiyuan street, Hanting District, Weifang City, Shandong Province is located in the west of Hanting District, adjacent to Weifang High Tech Development Zone in the South and Weifang Economic and Technological Development Zone in the West. Established in February 2002, the street is a combination of guojiaguanzhuang town and Zhangshi Town, with a total area of 48 square kilometers, 29 administrative villages, 3 residential communities and a population of 32457 (2010).

On July 29, 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name Kaiyuan street as a national health township for the period of 2017-2019.

In 1958, it was changed into 20 Li Bao commune and Zhang's commune. In 1981, it was changed into Guo Jia Guan Zhuang commune and Li Tuan commune. In 1984, it was changed into Guo Jia Guan Zhuang Township and Li Tuan township. In 1992, it was changed into Guo Jia Guan Zhuang Town and Zhang's town. Later, it was changed to Kaiyuan street.

Historical accumulation

Kaiyuan street has a long history. As early as 4000 years ago, human beings lived here. Lujiakou cultural site, a municipal key cultural relics protection unit, is located 1 km southwest of lujiakou village. The site has a high terrain, a flat surrounding area of about 40000 square meters, and a clear stratigraphic superimposition relationship. The first layer is cultivated soil, the second layer is Warring States culture, the third and fourth layers are Longshan culture, and the fifth, sixth and seventh layers are Dawenkou Culture. In 1973, the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences excavated the site. The excavation report was published in the third issue of the Journal of Archaeology in 1985, entitled the Neolithic site of lujiakou, Weixian county.

A thousand year old tree

Zhang's ancient pine is located in the south of North Zhang's village. The two ancient pines are planted side by side in the north and south, just like brothers and compatriots. The big one is called big pine, which is green but elegant; the second one is called two pine, which is green and handsome. According to the draft of Wei county annals, "there are two Songsong trees outside Zhang's village in the north and in Wang's ancestral tomb. The largest one is seven meters and twenty-one centimeters, and the second one is five meters and seventy-two centimeters. The tomb was built at the time of Zhenghe of Song Dynasty. The two trees were planted at that time, which is the crown of the ancient trees in the whole city. " There are three kinds of branches and leaves of Pinus tabulaeformis, Pinus spinosa and Pinus thunbergii on the tree. Now the two pines are dead, and the branches are immortal.
