Wenping Township

Wenping Township belongs to Puge County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province.

On January 12, 2021, Sichuan provincial government approved Liangshan Prefecture to adjust the administrative divisions of Puge county and other seven counties, abolish Wenping Township, and put its administrative area under the jurisdiction of Li'an township.

Wenping township is under the jurisdiction of Puge County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Genghe township was built in 1952, and Chengnan Township was renamed in 1957. It was incorporated into Fucheng commune in 1958, Wenping township was built in 1962, Wenping commune was changed in 1973, and the township was restored in 1984.

Wenping township is located in the southwest of the county, 8 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 31.39 square kilometers and has a population of 4480 (2017). It has jurisdiction over three village committees: shaguoping, mawodang and luochanghe.

Wenping Township mainly produces corn, rice, potato and flue-cured tobacco.
