History of construction

In the sixth year of Emperor Wu of Liang Dynasty (525), Linhuan county was set up to govern the city, which belongs to Linhuan county. In the fifth year of Wuding in the Eastern Wei Dynasty (547), Linhuan county was divided into Baishan county and Huanbei county. Baishan county is located in the south of Baishan county. In 605, Baishan county was merged into Linhuan county. In the same year, Tongji canal, the first phase of the Grand Canal of Sui and Tang Dynasties, was excavated. After the establishment of Liuzi town (now Baishan town).
