Tongmin town

Tongmin Town, subordinate to Xishui County, Zunyi City, Guizhou Province, is located in the southwest of Xishui County, Zunyi City. It faces Longxing town across the Chishui River in the East, Xingmin town in the south, Huangjin town in Gulin County, Sichuan Province in the West and Tucheng town in the north, 38 km away from the county. The total area of the town is about 115 square kilometers, with flat dam and high mountain terrain. The cultivated land area is 11801 mu (including 9712.9 mu of farmland and 2087.9 mu of soil). The altitude is between 450-1650 meters. The annual average temperature is 15-25 ℃, the highest temperature is 40 ℃, and the lowest temperature is 0 ℃. The frost free period of the whole year is about 360 days, which belongs to subtropical seasonal climate.

Tongmin town is located in the southwest of Xishui County, on the Bank of Chishui River. It faces Longxing town across the Chishui River in the East, Xingmin town in the south, Huangjin town in Gulin County in Sichuan Province in the west, Tucheng town in the north, 38 kilometers away from the county seat, only 10 minutes drive from the lower Tucheng crossing of Renxi Chishui expressway, and provincial highway 302 (Tucheng taipingdu) passes through the area. It has prominent location advantages and convenient transportation .

natural resources

Tongmin town is rich in natural resources, with a forest coverage rate of 71%, beautiful mountains and rivers, unique scenery, pleasant climate and well-developed Danxia landform. It is the spring city in the heart of Xishui people. Located in the National Nature Reserve, there are rare animals and plants such as black bear, leopard, wild boar, rock sheep, cymbal, gingko and Phoebe.

History and culture

Tongmin Town, formerly known as the Tang Dynasty dam, was established in Linzhou in 806 AD and abolished in 905 ad. Because it is located in the main traffic road of Sichuan and Guizhou, it has become a competitive place for military strategists in the past dynasties. Up to now, there are still "shizhaimen" and "tianzhidun" military Castle sites. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, Tongmin town also became the "huangmu" cutting area for the construction of the Palace Museum in Beijing for its rich production of thick and straight Phoebe. The inscriptions, imperial edicts, shipbuilding inscriptions and other historical sites for the cutting of "huangmu" are still well preserved.

After the battle of qinggangpo in Tucheng, the Central Red Army came to Tongmin from Chishui in Tucheng for a time, forming a deep friendship with the local people, and many Red Army martyrs died on this land. After liberation, the Party committee and government built Tongmin martyrs' cemetery in memory of the revolutionary martyrs, becoming one of the important bases for carrying out revolutionary traditional education in Xishui County.

economic development

With the hard work of previous Party committees and governments, Tongmin town has made great progress. It has built a series of livelihood projects such as Lianhe Dayan, Luosiwan reservoir and high standard farmland. At the same time, it has made great efforts to build "three bases" (5000 mu Guiyuan base, 5000 mu commercial vegetable base and 5000 head breeding sow base) and accelerated the adjustment of industrial structure Meanwhile, we should make every effort to speed up the construction of market towns and meticulously build "residential buildings in northern Guizhou" and "one case, one discussion" projects.

Development status

In order to lead the industrial structure adjustment, improve the living environment and people's economic and cultural living conditions, and promote the economic development of the town, Tongmin town has actively built Xiawan Qianbei residential resort, protected and restored 31 Qianbei residential buildings in Xiawan village, and developed tourism, so as to drive the new rural construction of the whole Tongmin town.
