The bay bridge across Mayu island is connected with Guangzhou Meishan railway in the north and the expressway to Shenzhen and Hong Kong in the south. It has a total length of 2500 meters, a maximum span of 452 meters and a clear height of 46 meters. Under the bridge, 50000 tonnage ships can be navigable. It is the first long-span suspension bridge in China.
