Baina Yi Nationality Village

Baina Yi nationality township is located in Baili Azalea management area of Bijie City, in the northwest of Baili Azalea, connected with Fengshan Township in the west, Pudi Township in Baili Azalea management area in the south, Sanyuan Township and Xingxiu Township in the north, and Shachang Township in Baili Azalea management area in the East. In December 1991, the town was built, the township was removed, and the Baina district was abolished. The former Baina Town, Huayu Township, Longping village of Caoping Township, and Xincang village of Baihe Township were combined to build Baina Yi township. In 2008, three village committees of Longping, Longfeng and Longzhu managed Pudi Township, a Baili Rhododendron scenic spot. In February 2017, Baina township was entrusted to Guizhou Baili Azalea management area for management. In June of the same year, Longping, Longfeng and Longzhu villages were transferred back to Baina township.

With a total area of 95.96 square kilometers (excluding Jiulongshan state-owned forest farm), it has jurisdiction over four administrative villages, two community residents committees, and a total of 74 villager groups. The average altitude is 1750 meters and the annual average temperature is 11.8 ℃. The cultivated area is 7206 mu. The total population is 30196, of which 21997 are household registered residence and 8200 are immigrants. They live in more than 20 ethnic groups, Han, Yi, Miao, Bai, Mongolia, gel, Buyi and so on. The minority population accounts for 36.44%. Hangzhou Ruizhou expressway, 326 National Road, 212 provincial road and 308 provincial road cross the whole area, and rural roads crisscross.

Name and origin

At the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, the tumu "bailajia", which was directly enfeoffed by Shui Xi'an's Xuanwei, built a market here. In 1921, it was renamed bainachang, or bainachang for short.

In 1950, the town was changed to five districts.

In April 1953, Baina and MATI village merged to establish Baina township.

In September 1958, Baina commune was established; in November, the administrative area was changed.

In 1984, it was changed into Baina town.

In December 1991, the district was withdrawn and the township was built. Longping village of the former Baina Town, Huayu Township and Caoping Township and Xincang village of Baina Township were merged to establish Baina Yi township.

Baina township is located in the hinterland of Jiulong Mountain. It is the main production area of "raw lacquer", one of the "three treasures" in Guizhou Province and the hometown of Dafang farmer painting. It is also the distribution center of medicinal materials in Northwest Guizhou Province. Rich in mineral resources, mainly coal, marble, pyrite, kaolinite, limestone and other mineral resources, rich reserves. Xinhua Village limestone has high density, good flexibility, scratch resistance and corrosion resistance, which is a high-quality stone resource in the province.

Infrastructure

Under the guidance of Xi Jinping's new socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics, the township government has carried out the new development concept in an all-round way, seize the day, take China's sweat and water it to harvest, and have achieved remarkable results in the economic and social development of the township. In recent years, 19.8 km of oil Road (cement road), 37.7 km of group road and 24.3 km of Jinzhai Road have been built. Due to the influence of historical administrative regionalization, the development of Baina has been marginalized from a central market town, and the development is relatively backward, and the infrastructure construction is in debt. Baina Township only relies on vegetables, tea, konjac and other traditional agricultural varieties, without deep processing.
