Baoying Lake Farm

Baoyinghu farm in Jiangsu Province, located in Jinhu County, the hometown of Chinese Dutch culture, was established in June 1954 by the fourth division of agricultural construction. The total area of the farm is 87000 mu, including nearly 40000 mu of cultivated land and more than 20000 mu of water. The total population is nearly 7700, including 2690 employees and 2430 retired employees. The farm has 4 sub farms, 17 agricultural teams, 3 aquaculture farms, 2 communities and 8 secondary and tertiary enterprises (units). It is a medium-sized state-owned farm with comprehensive management of agriculture, industry and commerce.

economic development

Agriculture is mainly based on rice and wheat cultivation and livestock and aquaculture. In 2017, four industries including seed production, rice processing, special aquatic products and livestock and poultry breeding have been formed. The annual output of grain is 70 million catties (30 million catties of wheat and 40 million catties of rice), 14 million catties of aquatic products and nearly 2 million livestock and poultry. In recent years, the farm has built a large-scale grain seed drying, processing and other infrastructure, and built a 25000 Mu seed production base, with an annual sales of 16 million jin. The "sukenbao Jinyu" brand strawberry, watermelon, Hami melon, celery, Gaocai and other series of fruits and vegetables produced in the high efficiency agricultural demonstration park are very popular in the market. The farm has developed and utilized 17000 mu of water and has been rated as a pollution-free breeding base at the ministerial and provincial levels. Among them, the area of crab, turtle, lobster and other special aquaculture has reached 9000 mu, and the "Baorong" brand Chinese mitten crab produced in Baoying Lake has been rated as a pollution-free product and a city famous brand product. At present, the farm has more than 400000 trees, the forest coverage rate has reached 22%, the farmland forest network area has reached 100%, the stock volume is 21000 cubic meters, and the annual forest cutting volume can reach 2000 cubic meters. the farm has formed 4 large-scale grain processing enterprises and 2 rice products with green food certification. In 2017, there were more than 30 enterprises in the farm, including grain processing, machinery processing, wood processing, clothing processing, toy and handicraft manufacturing, ship maintenance manufacturing, construction, commerce and trade
