Pinghe town

Pinghe township is located in the northwest edge of Nanjiang County in Sichuan Province, 42 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to Yangba town in the northeast, Wangcang County in the West and Dongyu town in the south. It is located at 106.41 ° E and 32.27 ° n, with a cultivated area of 5670 mu (including 1500 mu of farmland). It has jurisdiction over nine villages, one neighborhood committee, 55 villager groups and 10310 people, including Liangshan, Renmin, Longtan, Xiangyang, Xianfeng, Guanfang, Tutai, Zhongshan and Sanjiao. In 2004, the per capita net income was 1682 yuan. The highest altitude is 1563 meters, and the lowest is 720 meters. There are many ravines in the area. Pinghe township has an obvious three-dimensional climate, "one mountain has four seasons, and ten li has different days.". Historical evolution

Pinghe township is surrounded by mountains. Kongmu river runs through Longtan, Renmin, Xiangyang, Xianfeng, Tutai, Zhongshan and other villages and flows into Shahe River through Yuanyang gorge. Pinghechang was built in Qianlong period. Before liberation, Pinghe was divided into old and new streets. The old street is under the jurisdiction of Nanjiang County, and the new street is under the jurisdiction of Wangcang County. In the Qing Dynasty, Pinghe town belonged to Chongqing township of Nanjiang county. In the early years of the Republic of China, Pinghe town belonged to the League Training Office of the second district. After the red army moved northward, the Kuomintang government assigned Yangping joint protection to the first district (the administrative center). Yangping township was set up in 1940. Pinghe township has a long history of documents. The "two corners of solitary cloud" in Han Yue Fu San Qin ballad refers to the triangle mountain of Pinghe Township today. The story of "Xiao He's pursuit of Hanxin under the moon" by Liu Bang, the king of Han Dynasty, takes place on the side of "Jiexian mountain" (the place name is still kept to this day) and a stone tablet "Xiao He's pursuit of Hanxin here under the moon" is placed to record it.
